Fraser Valley
Walk For Kids Help Phone Hits The Fraser Valley with Fantastic First Year Success!

Fraser Valley Volunteers

The Walk for Kids Help Phone was held for the very first time in the Fraser Valley BC, with the beautiful Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford serving as our walk "home base". Friends and family showed tremendous support for the site’s 1st walk in the Fraser Valley; the fantastic people of Abbotsford, Mission, Langley and Chilliwack have already asked “Same time, same place next year, right?”

Kelowna
Master Percussionist Drums up Support

Kelowna - David Thiaw Kelowna Walk

In attendance at the Walk in Kelowna was David Thiaw, a world renowned master percussionist. David led a drumming workshop to kick off the walk and set the tone for the day. People came together with great energy and enthusiasm to support the cause, and a sense of community was palatable. Oh what a day!

Nanaimo
A Community That Comes Together to Support Kids and Teens

CC the PandaThe Nanaimo Walk was a huge success this year! Nora Loftus and Donna Vidal, founding members of the Nanaimo Walk Committee, have been with us since the first Walk in 2003! It’s their dedication and enthusiasm that encourages volunteers to make sure this day is great for the entire community. From the Walk Marshals (something the Knights of Columbus, Council 9990 have been doing since the first Nanaimo Walk) to Student Ambassadors like Laura Grondahl who spend the day as the energetic CC Panda, mascot for the Country Club Centre – everyone played an important part. There were a total of 44 volunteers and we couldn’t have done it without you!
